Norma S. Morein
Norma was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, but moved to California at 13, where she quickly recognized the new worlds and opportunities that California presented.
As a teenager, Norma received numerous awards for scholarship, public service and talent. She declined voice scholarships from 3 prestigious universities, and opted instead to accept a scholarship to Stanford University where she studied political science and international relations. After graduation, she entered the teaching profession, and completed the required coursework for the master's in education. She has studied interior design, interior architecture, and business on the master's level. Norma feels life is continually changing and evolving, and therefore she evolves with it.
After divorcing, she raised two wonderful, accomplished daughters and a "daughter by choice" who came to her at 15. She sought to prepare them to become strong, capable, self-sufficient and independent women. She has 4 grandchildren whom she cherishes.
Norma has owned businesses in interior design, catering, mortgage, real estate, and packaging, as well as serving as national marketing and sales directors for companies in the investment field and in the gift and gourmet industries. Today, her primary focus is on seniors and two income families, providing them personal assistance in accomplishing those tasks and responsibilities which often do not get done. She attempts to make their days easier and less complicated.
In her own words, "I am very excited about serving as Ms. Senior California, 2011 and look forward to bringing attention to the resources, skills, knowledge, talents, and experience that the millions of seniors in this country possess!" |
